We are going to WDW Dec7-14, we have the middle dinning plan. We want to do the candelight procession and we have dinner reservations at Be Our Guest. Which on should we pay out of pocket for? Thank you

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tracy!

I love this question because it really made me think about what my family would do if we were in the same position. We often use the Disney Dining Plan, so I definitely know what it's like to try and get the most value out of each and every single one of those credits. I've thought a lot about the Candlelight Processional Dining Package at the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays versus the prix fixe dinner menu at Be Our Guest Restaurant and which one you should pay for out of pocket, so let's chat about what I would do if I were making these reservations myself.

This might surprise you, but I think I might pay out of pocket for dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park. I had a look back at some of my plans from last year and a few of the restaurants where guests were able to book the Candlelight Processional Dining Package for just one Table-Service credit had prices around the same or even above the fixed price for dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant, which costs two Table-Service credits per person. This includes some of my favorite places to eat like Chefs de France in the France Pavilion and Biergarten Restaurant in the Germany Pavilion which has an incredible holiday atmosphere. If you choose one of these places, you're not only able to save a little bit of money and get guaranteed seating to one of the showings of the Candlelight Processional that evening, you'll also keep one extra Table-Service credit in each person's pocket to use at another time during your vacation. That sounds like a bonus to me! Reservations open up for the Dining Packages on July 3, which is next week, so have a look at some of those menus to see if any of them are right for you and your family.

    Have a magical day, Tracy!
