We're going to WDW in Dec with a girl 4 and boy 3. We would like to stay in either the Yacht Club, Caribbean Beach or Wilderness Lodge. We want a nice beach and a very Christmas resort. Is it worth the extra for the Yacht club over the other two. Thanks.

Sharon, I would opt for the Wilderness Lodge if you are looking for a resort with extra holiday décor.

While the beach is better at the Yacht Club (and definitely at the Caribbean Beach), we have found December to be quite chilly at times. The Caribbean Beach does not feel like a Christmas type of resort. The Yacht Club is beautiful and we did stop by to the look at the holiday train but it didn’t take my breath away like the décor at the Wilderness Lodge.

The minute you drive up to the Wilderness Lodge, your family will be transported to an early 1900s type lodge. There will be wreaths, small trees, white lights, garland and wildlife displays - everywhere! The magnificent tree that is the centerpiece of the lobby is glorious.

There is a very small beach with a little playground that your children may enjoy. There are some lounge chairs for relaxing. Ducks are frequent visitors to this sandy area.

Due to the ages of your children, I would also recommend this resort for its proximity to the Magic Kingdom.
