Going to WDW in Dec so excited! with 7 yr grandon, what are your recommendations for breakfast & dinner preferabaly w/characters,entertainment of some sort - need both for 5 days. Are there any special pirate adventures for boys or anything similar?

    Hi, Regina!

Character dining is definitely a fun part of the Disney experience. With over a dozen options, character dining experiences become a real force for making special vacation memories. A complete list of character dining may be found on Disney's official Web site; if you'd like, take a look at these, let me know which most appeal to his culinary and character tastes, and I'll be glad to help you narrow down an itinerary. I would hate to recommend something strongly to you that winds up being exactly the opposite of what he'd enjoy!

Pirate fun abounds at the Walt Disney World Resort. Head over to the Pirates League in Magic Kingdom, where he can be initiated into a pirate crew! He'll be made up like a pirate, receive a pirate name, swear a secret pirate oath, and more. Packages can be booked in advance by calling (407) WDW-CREW.

The Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage is the ultimate pirate nighttime excursion. Start you evening with snacks and a meet-and-greet with Captain Hook at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Then your pirate host Patch will take you to your vessel, where you'll sail off from the marina. He'll sing and entertain your entire crew! And you'll have the best seat in the house for Wishes! fireworks: in the middle of the Seven Seas Lagoon. When you return to shore, a very special guest is waiting for another private meet-and-greet. This experience can be booked 180 days in advance by calling (407) WDW-PLAY.

Please let me know how else I can help make your trip incredible!

    See you late, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
