Hi. We will at WDW in dec. 4-5 adults/3 kids 5-13. wanting to stay deluxe for ease of location. ( planning at contemporary). It is breaking the budget! are there any moderate/more affordable disney properties within walking to magic kingdom? Thx

    Hello Kathryn,

Unfortunately, the Contemporary Resort/Bay Lake Tower is the only resort where guests can walk to the Magic Kingdom.  By chance, have you priced a Garden Wing room?  Those rooms with standard views are less costly than the other rooms at the resort.

Similarly, there are two nearby resorts that are just a short boat ride to the Magic Kingdom.  Disney's Wilderness Lodge (so lovely in December!) has standard rooms that may be the some of the lowest rates at a deluxe resort. The Cabins at Fort Wilderness is a moderate resort that can accommodate up to 6 guests and is also at a lower rate.

And do make sure and check the Special Offers page; there may be a discount available for you to help lower the costs.

If none of these options work for you and you'd like some other suggestions, please let us know.  We are happy to help.
