Going to WDW w/ DS (4) and DD (2.5). Which would be better for kids: Backyard BBQ or CRT? Already planning on Aukerhaus. DD is a huge princess fan.

Hi Christy!  Since you have plans to visit all the princesses at Akershus in EPCOT then I would suggest you try for a reservation at Mickey's Backyard Barbecue for your son to enjoy.  This is also a character experience but in a different way from all the others.  There is a country buffet full of ribs, burgers and sides and you are entertained all evening by a live country and western band.  The main emphasis all night is for the children to come to the dance floor and dance the night away with their favorite characters including Mickey.  For those kids who are more shy they will usually have two characters situated off to the side for picture opportunities.  Through-out the evening there will also be other entertainment such as a trick roper.  It is a lot of fun!

I also suggest if you decide to do this dining experience that you arrive early to Fort Wilderness and visit the Disney stables as well as perhaps allow the kids to have a pony ride.  Both locations are within feet of the Mickey's Backyard Barbecue spot.
