Hi, going to WDW in 7 days,I was looking foward to have dinner at Ohana's but was unable to get a reservation. Do you know if I can do a walk in? If so would it be a long wait? Also, thanks for your promt reply on my last question.

    Hi, Ana!

My best advice to you is to not give up!  Keep checking for a reservation, even up until the day you want to dine at 'Ohana.  Check first thing in the morning, and also feel free to have your resort concierge check for availability.

You are welcome to try a walk up, but it can get very busy and you might be turned away.  I stayed at the Polynesian last week, and was surprised how busy it was, often with lines at the podium for check-in.  You might want to try booking for Kona Cafe, then you can cancel it if you luck out with a reservation at 'Ohana.

If you are going to go for it and try doing a walk-up, try going to a very early dinner, or better yet, a very late dinner.   Have a back-up plan in case you are unable to get a table.  A not-as-fancy but fun dinner at Polynesian would be to grab a quick service meal at Captain Cooks then take your food out to the beach for a lovely view of Cinderella Castle and the Seven Seas Lagoon.

I hope it works out for you.  The Polynesian is such a great resort with wonderful dining options.  You never know what magic and pixie dust will come your way for a magical evening.  Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
