We are going to WDW in 27 days, YEAH! My inquisitive 5 year old keeps asking me if Mickey is going to talk (when we go to breakfast at Chef Mickey's) Any suggestions on how I explain why the characters don't talk?

    Hi Alysse!
I think it is awesome that your 5 year-old is so inquisitive. Keep stoking that fire!!
As for MIckey, you can simply tell your son that since guests from all over the world come to Walt Disney World, it is hard for Mickey to know what language to speak when meeting people, so he chooses to use sign language and gestures so that everyone understands...especially the high fives and hugs!!
Hopefully that does it. I wish you a Magical trip and many more years of inquisitiveness!! :)
