Hi! We are going to be in WDW for 5 days starting Deceber 10! We are so excited to see everything decorated for Christmas! What resort"s holiday decorations should we put on our not to miss list? Thanks!

    Hi Brenda:

Disney World is a must see during Christmas time. The Resorts and Parks are expertly decorated for the Holidays. The Deluxe Disney Resorts tend to have the fanciest and most intricate decorations, so any time you can easily make your way to a Deluxe Resort, I would do you best to do so. To me, the must-visit Disney Resort for the Holidays is the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The atmosphere is festive and grand, especially the Resort's famous gingerbread house.

Holiday decorations are subject to change, but other favorite that you'll likely find the following during the Holidays:
    • Boardwalk Resort: A gazebo with holiday scene made of gingerbread and chocolate. There will be hidden Mickey’s within the holiday scene.
    • Contemporary Resort: Nestled in the Grand Canyon Concourse of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Guests will find a 17 foot Gingerbread Holiday Tree, complete with holiday ornaments.  The Resort should also feature a gingerbread house
    • The Yacht and Beach Club Resorts: A Holiday Carousel featuring ponies made of chocolate and fondant, handcrafted poinsettias and gingerbread snowflakes and more.  You'll also likely find a miniature Holiday Village with train and a gingerbread lighthouse.

    Enjoy your vacation.
