We will be at WDW for 5 days - beginning Dec 18 - departing the 23. We are transferring hotel rooms from AK lodge to the Yacht club on the 20th. My dining reservations are only open until the 20th (as of midnight last night), WHY?

    Welcome to planDisney, Sarah!

I’m glad you’ve stopped by with your question. I love chatting about dining around the Walt Disney World Resort and am sorry to hEAR that you ran into an issue. Sarah, I had a split stay earlier this summer where we started at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, moved to Disney’s Riviera Resort and then ended our trip at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and had three different advanced dining reservation windows. With a “split-stay” you will have two separate reservation numbers and unfortunately two separate opening days to book dining.

Sarah, when I experienced this problem earlier this year I called and spoke with a Cast Member hoping there was a way to “fix” that in the system since it’s essentially one vacation, but unfortunately there was not a work-around. So, the rest of your trip will open up 60 days in advance of your check-in at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

Sarah, while this likely wasn’t the information you were wishing for, I do hope that it’s helpful in your planning. If you have any other questions, please come on back to planDisney. We are always EARlated to see a returning guest.
