We will be at WDW for 6 days Aug 16-21 for all 4 parks (not park-hopper) with 4 and 6 year old boys. Would you suggest 1 day at AK and EP, and 2 at HS and MK, or would you do 3 at MK? Someone told me HS was a 1 day.

    Hi Cheri,

As a general rule Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios take about 1 day and Epcot and Magic Kingdom take 2 days. If you do a little pre-planning and have a list of "must dos" for each park you'll get the most out of your park days. What I would suggest you do is go to every park once then decide where you'd like to revisit. I would imagine that you'll want to revisit the Magic Kingdom as that definitely needs more than 1 day to see everything but make the final decision once you're there. You may be surprised at where your boys would like to go again, my families favourite park is actually Epcot because my girls love riding Test Track.

As you're visiting in August when it is extremely hot the best way to tour the parks is to get there for opening, you'll be able to get lots done before most guests arrive, make good use of fast passes and rider swap if applicable and then leave. Yes I know you're only there for 6 days but to enjoy Disney you need to take regular breaks. We always go in August and return to our hotel for an afternoon swim everyday before returning to the park when the it has cooled down a little.

    Have a fantastic trip,
