At WDW club level we can have mimosas in the morning. Is this also true at Disneyland hotel and Pixar Place? Are we able to take beverages and snacks to our room?

    Hi Beth,

Thanks for visiting planDisney. Getting club-level access adds an extra touch of magic to your trip. I love that my breakfast plans become a lot easier, and I always have a home base to relax, grab a snack, and enjoy a beverage.

I am happy to report that mimosas are currently served all day long at all three club lounges! Would we really be in Orange County without enjoying a mimosa? All the lounges are open from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and beverages are served all day. After speaking to a Cast Member, I was informed that guests may not take food out of the lounge. While this might not be the answer you were hoping for, there may be a chance to take smaller grab-and-go items, like a bottle of orange juice or a banana. I recommend that you follow the guidance of Cast Members on site, as they have the final say.

As you consider staying at a Resort hotel, I wanted to share some Disney news about the Club Level experiences. The Disneyland Hotel is currently remodeling their lounge to relaunch as the High Key Club this summer. There is a temporary lounge in the lobby level of the Frontier Tower. The Grand Californian is planning to open an additional lounge, which is anticipated to be completed in 2026. I’m looking forward to the new lounge to see how the experience will differ.

I know this wasn’t on your list, but the Veranda (the lounge in the Grand Californian) is my personal favorite. I enjoyed having club access at the Grand Californian, coupled with special park entry into California Adventure. It made breakfast time easy when we could head to the lounge for a bite to eat and then head down to the heart of the park. Then, in the evening, we would head back to the hotel lounge early, enjoy the nighttime desserts that were set out, and then snuggle together on the balcony of The Veranda to watch the fireworks as the music was piped in.

At Pixar Place, the food is brought in from Great Maple (located in the lobby of the hotel), so I hear the food is a bit tastier in that lounge. While you won’t be able to see fireworks from the lounge, if you go down to the rooftop pool deck, you can see the Disneyland fireworks from there. The hotel will also broadcast the accompanying music and dialogue from the show, so you won’t feel like you're missing out.

I hope this information is helpful, Beth. If you have any other questions or need help planning, feel free to write back to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share our thoughts.

    Happy planning!
