We are going to be in WDW for Christmas, and I was wondering how to find out where religious services are being held? I know that on major holidays they will have some services on site.

    Kelly:

I haven't heard of a location for Christmas services this year at Disney, but when we were at Disney over Easter weekend a year and a half ago, they held Easter services at the Contemporary Hotel, and they did it again this past Spring and last year for Christmas in the same ballroom.

My guess is that they would probably do it again for Christmas but the Contemporary Hotel hasn't posted anything official according to the operator I talked to today.  I'd recommend calling the hotel in a month or so at 407-824-1000 to see if they are planning on holding services again there this year.

FYI: If you don't have transportation off-site to the many churches within about a 10-minute drive of Disney property (the addresses will be found in the welcome book in your room), consider putting the Candelight Processional Service at Epcot on your must-do list.  You may have to wait in line an hour to see it, but the reading of the Christmas story and the accompanying choirs are always inspirational.  (HINT: pay attention to the person who does the sign language interpretation of the evening.  For me, this adds so much to the music.)

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
