We will be at WDW this Christmas from Dec 21- 26 but will be doing the parks on 22, 23 & 24. We are 2 adults & 2 teens. I know it will be super busy, but if we rope drop each park day, would we still be able to get a lot of attractions done?

    Greetings Kathleen!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to be visiting Walt Disney World Resort this Christmas!

December is my absolute favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort as the parks and resorts are beautifully decorated for the holiday season. It's just extra magical! In 2017, my family enjoyed a lovely Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort and found we were able to accomplish everything on our "must do" list despite it being pretty crowded. We also visited the theme parks on December 22nd, 23rd and 24th, but enjoyed a relaxing day at our Disney Resort hotel on Christmas day.

I do recommend that you arrive at the theme parks approximately 30 - 45 minutes before park opening in order to get through security and the touch-point entry area before the park officially opens. If you will be staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can also take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, which we found to be quite beneficial during our visit. Our strategy was to arrive at the parks early when the crowds were at the lowest and then go back to our Disney Resort hotel for an afternoon nap. We then returned in the early evening to experience the nighttime entertainment.

Be sure to utilize Disney FastPass+ service to ensure you are able to experience several of those "can't miss" attractions during your trip. I highly recommend staying at a Disney Resort hotel so that you can begin booking FastPass+ selections 60 days prior to check-in for your entire length of stay. If you hit the parks early and utilize FastPass+ service and Extra Magic Hours, I believe you will find that your family can experience many of the amazing attractions that await during your December trip.

I hope this information is helpful to you, Kathleen. Please stop by again with any questions. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical and merry trip!
