What is WDW buses' policy for boarding a handicapped person first? Do they get their own line to ensure they are loaded first since they cannot board once passengers are on board?

    Hi Lee,

Let me tell you that I have ridden a lot of Walt Disney World Transportation System buses on my Walt Disney World Transportation Buses since 2007.  So I am going to answer your question based on my experiences on these buses.  Typically, there is a space marked on the ground at each bus stop location for those Guests with wheel chairs or ECV's (it is normally at the area where the back doors of the bus will be because that is where the lift systems or ramps are located on each bus).  It is true that when a bus arrives that those Guests with wheel chairs or ECV's and their families will be loaded first before any new Guests get on the bus. Keep in mind that there are usually are Guests already on the bus or Guests that need to get off the bus first before wheelchairs or ECV's are loaded (it is very rare that a wheel chair or ECV is loaded on a bus that doesn't have any Guests inside already).  Each bus can typically hold 2 wheel chairs or ECV's.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly amazing in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
