Hello! We are going WDW at the beginning of April. We will be at DTD on Saturday night and had heard that there is some kind of water show there at night. Is this true and if so, can you give more information about it? Thank you.

    Hi Sharon,

At Walt Disney World, there is no nighttime water show at Downtown Disney; however, there is so much to do in this entertainment district at night! There are many options for shopping and dining. Some of my favorite shopping is in the Marketplace at shops like Team Mickey Athletic Club, where you can find sports-related Disney merchandise, and Disney's Days of Christmas, for year-round holiday shopping. My favorite dining is on the West Side, with restaurants such as the southern-inspired House of Blues. I also enjoy Bongos, which offers Cuban fare. For entertainment at Downtown Disney, try Characters in Flight - a huge tethered balloon which will take you up to 400 feet in the sky for a 360-degree view of Downtown Disney and many other Walt Disney World resorts and parks. Or consider taking in La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil. This amazing show includes acrobatics and artistry beyond the imagination.

If you want to see a nighttime water show, your options include heading to Epcot to see Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. This show includes lasers, fireworks, and water features all viewed from around the World Showcase Lagoon in Epcot. For a water show without going into a park, and on a much smaller scale, you could take in the Electrical Water Pageant. This show is much simpler in scope that other nighttime spectaculars. It is a train of barges on the water which display different images in lights set to bouncy music. The barges float around Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon at night and are can be seen from the Magic Kingdom Resorts and the Magic Kingdom Park. For a good explanation of the Electrical Water Pageant, visit allears.net and search "electrical water pageant."

Have a great time planning your trip, Sharon. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
