Hi Natalie,
You have picked probably
one of the nicest resorts in Walt Disney World. You have the added benefit of the Monorail transportation system linking you to Magic Kingdom, The Contemporary Resort, Ticket and Transportation Center and The Polynesian Resort, as well as the waterlaunch system and buses for transportation. This hotel is very sophisticated with a Victorian flair, but has many wonderful things for children to do. There is a waterboat rental dock (I always rent the Sea Raycers when I go, my daughter loves it when we do this) as well as a beautiful white sand beach, a feature zero-depth Beach pool, the courtyard pool, a spa and kiddie pool as well as an Arcade. There are many activities such as "Grand adventures in cooking", "Disney's Pirate Adventure", "Wonderland Tea Party", and "Mouseketeer Club" (all of these are for children between the ages of 4-12). Please check this
link to find out more about the services and amenities for this resort plus many other features, as I am limited to my words here.
I have been in August and while it does tend to get quite hot it always seems like I have been lucky to experience a nice breeze (no, not a Hurricane....a breeze!) which really tends to cool it down considerably. We always stay by the pool to relax and enjoy when it is warmest during the mid-day sun. Pssst, just in case mommy and daddy want some alone time, this is the place for it! Take advantage of the Mouseketeer Club (let your kids do some fun supervised activities and games) while you both either visit the beautiful "
Spa and Health Club", enjoy a romantic dinner, or just take a nice stroll on the beach!
Enjoy your trip!
