We will be a WDW in August (18-24) and have booked the PR. We are very excited as in the past could not get into this resort. We are in a garden view room and interested in the quietest long house, any suggestions?

Aloha!  Ahh, the Polynesian Resort is so lovely with its lush gardens and tropical feel and a resort I would describe as a quiet one, regardless of your room location.  However, to help increase the chances of more tranquility and peace,  I would recommend either Tahiti or the Rapa Nui longhouse.  They are not near the monorial, the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, the traffic from the Great Ceremonial House, or the pools so they should be quiet.  Between the two, I think my first choice would be Tahiti since the garden view rooms will face a garden.  In Rapa Nui, there is a 50/50 chance that some of the garden view rooms could see a parking lot and thus pick up more sound.
