Hi, we will be at WDW from Aug 17-24th w/ our 8 yr old daughter. Feeling torn between making very specific plans each day & going with the flow. We have res for CRT, spirit of Aloha, La Nouba, and BBB. Can we flow naturally from these & not miss an

Meggan, it sounds as if you have some pretty special experiences planned for your daughter, so kudos on that! I like how you think, though. While I am the planner of our Walt Disney World vacations and I do want to have some sort of "plan" going in, I also love some spontaneity to keep the trip exciting. Plus, I have the personal belief that if you over plan, you are setting yourself up for disappointment when you don't get to everything.

My biggest tip would be to choose three top things (attractions, rides, shows) each day that you have on your must-do list and start with those or at least loosely plan around those. For example, on the day you have reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table, plan to be in the Magic Kingdom for all or most of the day. I would also suggest that you start your day there and then after your reservation, if you have the park hopper option and choose to switch parks, do it then. That way you aren't worried or nervous that you might not make it there on time from another park.

On the days when you are going to La Nouba or Spirit of Aloha Show, don't forget to allow plenty of time for transportation especially if you are going to go back to your resort to change or freshen up. A great tool for figuring out the best transportation routes and estimated travel times is the "Transportation Wizard" at www.ourlaughingplace.com. You will see the link to click on in the upper right-hand corner of the website.

Another great tip is to check the times guides for show times and character meet and greets and the tip boards in each park for estimated wait times for the most popular rides and attractions. You can also download the free "My Disney Experience" mobile app that gives real time wait times and daily schedules of shows and meet and greets!

I hope you and your daughter have a magical time and all her dreams come true!
