Will be going to WDW on Aug 18-23. While down there on the 19 my son will be turn 3. I have hear that I can get a call form Goofy and we are going to Ohana for dinner but is there any thing else that I can do for him on his bday while we are there?

    Hi John:

There is no better place to celebrate a birthday or plan a special vacation than at Walt Disney World. Of course just being at Disney World is enough to make any vacation or birthday special. But here are some ideas to make the visit extra special:
    • If you are staying on property, let the Resort know that it's your son's birthday when you check in. It's possible the front desk may be able to help arrange some Disney magic for your son.
    • Remember to check in at City Hall at the Magic Kingdom, or at guest relations at other Parks, and pick up a birthday button. Many Cast Members will go out of their way to wish your son a Happy Birthday or greet him with a kind gesture to make the day more memorable.
    • You also may consider contacting the Dream Makers at Disney Floral and Gifts online here or at (407) WDW-GIFT or (407) 939-4438. They can help create a personalized in-room celebration featuring your son's favorite Disney characters. They can also deliver personalized gift baskets to your Disney Resort or a Disney restaurant where you may be enjoying a celebratory meal.
    • Arrange a special character meal dining reservation. You usually cannot go wrong with a character breakfast at Chef Mickey's.
    • Yo ho, yo ho: Consider a pirate make-over appointment at The Pirate's League, which starts taking appointments for Guests ages 3 and up.
    • A simple treat, like buying a your son a balloon or bag of popcorn on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom, will likely bring a huge smile to your son.

    Enjoy your vacation.
