We will be at WDW Art of Animation is April 2014 for 6 nights/7 days - 5 adults/2 girls (6 & 2). Trying to plan ahead - do you have a suggested itinerary? Suggestions for dining reservations? We are not purchasing park hopper tickets.

    Hi, Karen!

What an exciting trip to Walt Disney World you are planning, Karen!

You're going to love Disney's Art of Animation, which has one of my favorite Quick Service food courts on property. The Big Blue Pool will be a great part to unwind and have fun, too.

Itinerary-wise, you'll do just fine without the Park Hopper option if you plan carefully. You'll want 2 days in Magic Kingdom, 1 day at Disney's Hollywood Studios, 1 day at Animal Kingdom and 2 days in Epcot. Keep that extra day for a return to any of these parks, especially if you miss (or want to revisit) a nighttime event at a park you've already seen previously.

I like to see where the Extra Magic Hours are, especially the morning hours, and plan our days in each park on those days. Next, book your Advanced Dining Reservations at exactly 180 days prior to check-in; you can then book your ADRs for your entire stay (up to a 10-day stay). Simply call Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE for assistance with the date on which you can book your ADRs, should you want a little reassurance. Keep in mind that the most popular dining reservations, such as Cinderella's Royal Table, will book up right away, so it's great that you're thinking ahead by planning now.

ADRs which you might want to consider (in addition to CRT, a must-do with 2 little princesses!) include Chef Mickey's (quick monorail ride from Magic Kingdom to Disney's Contemporary Resort), The Crystal Palace (Magic Kingdom), Tusker House (Animal Kingdom), Teppan Edo (hibachi-style dining at Epcot), Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano (Disney's Hollywood Studios) just to name a few.

Send me another question, Karen, including if you'll be on a Dining Plan and the specific dates of stay; I'd be happy to look at crowd predictions and help you plan your magical trip to WDW; we love to help!
