    We will be at WDW on April 14 - 19. We are trying to make our plans and noticed that the Magic Kingdom will close on April 17, can you tell me why it closes so early that day?

    Hello Aquanita, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Wow, your magical vacation is just a few short months away and you must be so excited!

    I have recently spoken with a Cast Member to find out why the Magic Kingdom Park is closing early on April 17, 2018. I have learned that a private event will be held that evening, prompting the park to close at 6:00 P.M. If you are a Walt Disney World Resort hotel guest, you can take advantage of the Extra Magic Evening Hours offered at Epcot until 11:00 P.M. You could also enjoy an evening of shopping and dining at Disney Springs. If you do not have the park hopper option added to your admission tickets, you may choose to visit the Magic Kingdom on a different day during your trip. Keep in mind that schedules are always subject to change, so check with a Cast Member for any updated information.
