We are going to WDW in April and are not sure where to stay. We think we will spent most of our time at Epcot and HS. We have a 7 year old boy and would also like to do a character meal with him. Any suggestion.

    Hello Lisa!

I have just the place for you!  Disney's Beach Club Resort sounds like the perfect match for your trip.  The resort is located within walking distance of both Disney's Hollywood Studios (DHS) and Epcot.  It also has, in my opinion, one of the most exciting pool areas on property called Stormalong Bay.  There's a lazy river, sandy bottom pool, a place for your son to dig in the sand and a great water slide!  I know our kids love hanging out at the pool just as much as they enjoy the parks.

The Beach Club Resort also is home to Cape May Cafe, which hosts a character dining experience each morning.  You're likely to find Minnie, Donald, and Goofy making their rounds at this buffet meal.  We enjoy the resort-based character meals because you do not need a park ticket in order to attend.

Also located in the same area are Disney's Yacht Club and Boardwalk Inn Resorts.  Each resort is also within walking distance of DHS and Epcot.

I hope your family has a most magical vacation!  Please come back and see me if you have any other questions!
