We are going to WDW in April 2012 for our first visit as a family. I have a 7 yo with mental impairment and autism. Are there any special passes available to special needs children so they don't have to wait in line as long or anything? Thanks!!

    Hi Tiffany:

Every day, Disney World welcomes many Guests with a variety of special needs.  To assist Guests, Disney World offers a Guest Assistance Card ("GAC").  Please read this answer from Disney Moms Panelist Allison.  The answer also links to a Disney page dedicated to Guests with disabilities.  The GAC will be tailored to each individual Guest depending on need and may help reduce wait time.  I would also use the search feature on the Moms Panel site to search for more answers on the GAC.

Enjoy your first family Disney vacation.
