We were in WDW in 2013 . Apparantly the fitness centers in resorts can no longer be used if you are not a guest of that resort; even with a fee. Alot of cast members were not even aware of the new policy. Is there a Gym we can use while visitng this year?

    Hi Mary Kay,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for such a great question.  I know many of our wonderful guests are interested in keeping with their fitness routines while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.

While the policy for the resort fitness centers did recently change, I find the beautiful jogging trails, surrounding most of the resort properties, a great place to get some extra exercise. However, if you are in need of fitness facilities for  other activities, a place I have heard great reviews for and is close by, is the Fitness Centre & Day Spa at Florida Hospital Celebration Health.   They offer day and week temporary passes and are only about ten minutes from the Walt Disney World Resort.  You can find more information about their facility, as well as costs, at www.celebrationfitness.com.  If you do not have a car, you could use the Lynx public bus service, which picks up from the Ticket and Transportation Center or a taxi.

I hope this gives you an acceptable alternative in keeping with your fitness regime.  If you have any further questions, please let  us know, we are happy to help.

    Have a magical vacation!
