    Does wdw do anything special for Memorial Day weekend? Any special fireworks or parades?

    Howdy Michelle!!!

    I love this question!  The first Walt Disney World Resort vacation my husband and I shared together was Memorial Day 1997.  So many changes since then and countless magical memories have been made.

    Typically, you will not find special fireworks but in the past, there has been a special ceremony during the flag retreat on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom. 

    To me, the flag retreat is always a special time of day and it is even more moving as Disney enhances the event on Memorial Day.

    Be sure to check the Walt Disney World website prior to your visit to ensure you don't miss any events.  Then, use My Disney Experience to plan and manage your itinerary so you can make the most of your time in the theme parks.
