What are the ways to get into your Disney motel room aside from a magicband? Does Disney give you a card for entry into the room and theme parks. I am old and live on SSI so this trip I have saved for years. I need any money I have for food. What do I do

    Hi there, Carla!

I'm so happy you stopped by planDisney with your question, and even happier you have a magical vacation right around the corner!

I understand the importance of being budget-conscious when planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I know the discipline it takes to save for a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, and I'm proud of you for making it happen! The memories you'll be making will be priceless and long-lasting.

No need to worry - if you're not interested in purchasing a MagicBand, it's not something you have to have to enjoy your vacation. At Walt Disney World, there are numerous ways to access the magic

If you'll be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you have several options when it comes to gaining entry into your hotel room. Guests can use a MagicBand, MagicBand+, or the My Disney Experience Mobile App on a smartphone. I don't typically wear a MagicBand, and use the app to open my hotel room door when I stay at a Disney hotel.

If you would prefer to have a physical card to use to open your resort hotel room and to enter the Walt Disney World theme parks, you can ask for a Key to the World card when you check in to your resort. A Cast Member will be happy to link your Theme Park Ticket to the card for you.

There are so many ways to add value to your Disney days without adding extra cost. Live shows, parades, Nighttime Spectaculars, and more are included in the cost of your theme park tickets! You can also take advantage of Disney World's free transportation options, including buses, monorails, and boats, to get around the resort. This can save you money on car rentals, parking fees, and gas.

With planning, your Walt Disney World vacation can be both magical and budget-friendly! I hope you have the most wonderful vacation ever. Please let us know if you have any more questions before you arrive - we're happy to help!
