Hi Shaniqua!
You're going to be visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the year! Definitely add visiting a few Disney Resort Hotels to your itinerary to see their beautiful holiday decor and larger-than-life
gingerbread displays.
Historically, Disney's two water parks use the cooler months to enhance their attractions, touch up the paint, and even add new attractions. I am pleased to share that these closings are staggered, meaning only one water park is closed at a time so your family can enjoy the other. We should know by mid-June which water park will be open during your visit this December, either
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or
Disney's Blizzard Beach.
Do note that the water parks will close in the winter if the weather dips below the mid-60's. However, the main pools at all
Disney Resort Hotels are heated to a perfect 82 degrees year-round and will remain open. In my personal experience I've found that the children's pools are not heated, but the feature pools as well as quiet pools are.
Did you know that there are two awesome seasonal celebrations during the same time of your vacation?
Epcot hosts the International Festival of the Holidays and Magic Kingdom Park has the separate event ticket
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
We'll See You Real Soon, Shaniqua!
