Which waterpark is better for kids age 4 and 5? Blizzard Beach or Typhoon?

Wendie, be prepared for your kids to adore the way-beyond-waterslide fun of a Walt Disney World water park. No matter which splash and swim spot you choose your children will be ecstatic.

A ski resort full of melting ice and snow created Disney's Blizzard Beach. While your four and five year old are not yet tall enough for the famous Summit Plummet, plenty of options abound for your kiddos. The gigantic bob pool, the lazy river, and smaller slides will keep your youngsters delighted. Pile the whole family into a tube on Teamboat Springs or toboggan down Snow Stormers. If your preschoolers are under 48 inches your family can hang at Tike's Peak, an amazing water play area just for little ones.

You will be blown away by the storm swept Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. The six foot waves in the Surf Pool, swimming with sharks, and the lazy river provide for a day of splash and play your children will not soon forget. Ketchakidee Creek caters to preschooler under 48 inches with smaller versions of thrilling water park fun. Gangplank Falls inner tubes can accommodate the whole family as you plummet down a slide of rushing water. I slightly favor this park for younger children, especially if you plan a return visit in the future when your children are older and can take advantage of the more thrilling options at Blizzard Beach.

Either water park will be a blast for your family, so pick one and enjoy!
