Hi Caitlyn! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm excited you are considering a stay at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort! I was able to stay here on a recent trip and it was a dream vacation! The theming of the resort is absolutely perfect and is home to some of the best dining locations at Walt Disney World.
When selecting a room type, the Water View resort rooms will guarantee you a view of the pool, lagoon, or marina. All of these are fantastic, but if you prefer to be located with a view of the lagoon or marina, you'll need to call the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and make a request on your reservation. Keep in mind that reservation requests are not guaranteed, although Cast Members will take them into account when assigning your room.
The buildings at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort that have rooms that face the lagoon are Tuvalu and Hawaii. Each of these buildings has a total of three floors and has rooms that face directly to Seven Seas Lagoon. Hawaii also has rooms that face the Oasis Pool, so keep this in mind when making your request. The Fiji building offers views of the marina and some that even have a partial view of the lagoon. When calling in, I suggest asking for one of these three buildings if this is your desired view. Again, Cast Members can only note this on your reservation and cannot guarantee placement upon arrival.
Regardless of which building you end up getting, you are going to be pleasantly surprised by not only your room but the entire resort!
Kona Cafe and
'Ohana are two of my favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World. The Macadamia Nut Pancakes at Kona Cafe are the most delicious way to start your day. Between the 'Ohana Noodles at dinner and the 'Ohana Bread Pudding for dessert, this is a great choice to dine directly at your resort.
Caitlyn, I hope this information helps you plan for your stay!
