What are the water temps at Typhoon Lagoon in early May. We will be there May 7th to the 15th wasn't sure if the water parks would be to cold to visit

Hi Robert! In general, although different locations might vary from time to time, all water facilities at Walt Disney World are kept at 82 degrees year round. Some guests find it way too cold to swim in the winter months but that has more to do with the air temperature then the water temperature.

When you visit the water parks again it is not so much of an issue for the water temps as it is the air because you are getting in and out to ride the slides and lazy rivers. Cooler temps and breezes can make it a bit uncomfortable.

The good news is that May is a great month for the pools and swimming. The temperatures will be in the 80's and might even reach 90 and it is a perfect month to swim and not completely sweat when enjoying the poolside chairs. What better combination can you ask for...sun bathing and swimming! Enjoy and look at both water parks and what they offer as they are quite different. If you have younger non swimming children I prefer Blizzard Beach but for the teenagers Typhoon Lagoon is the place to be!
