Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a deluxe resort hotel with a Pacific Northwest theme that celebrates the great outdoors. I find both the lobby and the grounds to be stunning. My family has stayed at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort more times over the years than I can count! It offers both cabins and campsites, but if you aren't staying there, it's a wonderful resort to visit, particularly for a meal!
Trails End Restaurant serves up some tasty vittles all day long. Traveling there in the morning hours can be tricky, though.
You can travel by
water taxi from Wilderness Lodge to
Magic Kingdom Park on the Red Flag route. This begins at least 30 minutes before park opening. To travel to Fort Wilderness or
Disney's Contemporary Resort, you'll need to take the Blue Flag route. This typically does not start until the afternoon, around 3 pm. I recommend checking with a Cast Member when you check in to your resort to see if the schedule has recently changed.
To travel to Fort Wilderness for breakfast, you have a few options:
- Take the Red Flag water taxi route to Magic Kingdom, and then take the Green Flag route to Fort Wilderness
- Use a ride share service, such as Uber or Lyft
- Take a Minnie Van
