Ahoy there, Laura. Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy that you cruised our way with your question about the Disney Cruise Line.
Sailing onboard a Disney Cruise is a special treat for my family and there are so many reasons why we love it. We really enjoy the entertainment and activities that are family-friendly and
appeal to all ages in our sailing party. We love the service provided by the friendly Crew Members and look forward to interacting with them every time we set sail. One of the less talked about but very important reasons we sail with the Disney Cruise Line are their
health and safety standards as a company. Our family feels safe when we cruise with Disney because we know that the standards are very high. We feel that they care about our health as well as the health of their Crew Members.
The water from the rooms is safe to drink directly from the faucet. The drinking water onboard the ships is either obtained from the local authorities in the ships' home ports or made onboard the cruise ship in their desalination process. This process removes dissolved salts and other impurities from the water. The Crew Members regularly obtain and test samples so that all of the water meets the safest possible standards, as well as those in accordance with CDC/USPHS.
If you prefer, you may order bottled water to be delivered to your room via the
Onboard Gifts and Amenities site, or you can also bring sealed water bottles onto the ship with you as long as you bring them in your carry-on luggage. Your stateroom is equipped with a refrigerator to keep beverages cold. Many guests like to pack a reusable water bottle and fill it with ice and water once onboard to enjoy while exploring the ship or to store extra cold water in their staterooms.
Thank you again for visiting planDisney and please sail back to us if you have more questions in the future. It's a pleasure to help out our fellow guests.
Have a day full of magic,
Adrianna
