Hi friend, welcome to planDisney, Louise. A summertime visit to Walt Disney World is only complete when you've taken time to cool off in the Water Parks.
At this time,
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is open, and I'm afraid I have no further details on
Disney's Blizzard Beach opening dates. Keep an eye out on
Disney Parks Blog for any updates. Right now, no reservation is required to visit Typhoon Lagoon, where we've always found areas to comfortably decamp for the day with natural shade throughout the Park. I highly recommend the mini-doughnuts sold in the kiosk near the changing rooms! If you have not sampled the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool before, please know it is wild - think 6ft swells rather than ripples!
Louise, many
Disney Resorts hotels also offer water-based fun. Perfectly heated pools, slides, splash areas for little ones, and cast member-led games by the pool have kept us entertained on many afternoons. You're bound to find many ways to cool off in the Floridian summer heat.
I'd be happy to help if you have any other questions, Louise. Have a magical adventure!
