Hi there, Jaymi, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for swimming by with your question.
I'm thrilled to hear that you're headed to The Most Magical Place on Earth this spring. It's time to dust off your Minnie ears and break out that swimsuit for a splashing good time at Walt Disney World! It looks like your visit is just around the corner, so let's dive right into your question.
Jaymi, Disney World's water parks are more than just a place to cool off. With thrilling water slides, relaxing lazy rivers, and everything in between,
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and
Disney's Blizzard Beach serve up tons of fun and plenty of pixie dust.
While
both water parks will be open at the same time this summer, Typhoon Lagoon is currently closed and will not reopen until May 12, 2026. This makes Blizzard Beach the place to be during your visit in early March! You'll have so much fun on the
Slush Gusher, the
Dowhill Double Dipper, and if you're a whole lot braver than I am, the 360-foot-long
Summit Plummet!
Now, there are a lot of thrills to be had at Blizzard Beach, but if you think you'll want a place to kick back and relax, don't forget to reserve your
Lodge Umbrella or
Polar Patio ahead of time. You can do this on the Walt Disney World website or through your
My Disney Experience app, as I recently explained to another guest
here. There are plenty of (free) lounge chairs available throughout the park, but this is a
fin-tastic option if downtime is important to you.
I hope this helps, Jaymi, and that your day at Blizzard Beach is full of thrills and chills! If you have any other planning questions, you know
where to find me right here at planDisney!
Have an
ice day,
Allison
