Since water parks are free on day of arrival in 2025, is the water kept at a certain temperature? (Planning ahead, arriving first week of March)

Hey there, Donna! Welcome to planDisney!

I love that you’re already planning on enjoying one of the many magical Disney resort benefits of being able to visit the water parks for free on your check-in day! And as a Floridian, I’ve gotta say… March is such a sweet spot for beautiful weather. Warm, sunny days without that full-on summer heat? Yes, please!

Even better, Disney’s got you covered when it comes to keeping the water just right! The pools at Disney Resort hotels and both water parks are heated to about 80 degrees Fahrenheit, so even if there’s a little morning chill in the air, you’ll be all set for floating, sliding, and splashing the day away.

Since you’ll be visiting in early March, Disney’s Blizzard Beach is the water park to visit, as Typhoon Lagoon is closed for refurbishment during this time.

Blizzard Beach is a blast, with everything from high-thrill slides like Summit Plummet, or my personal favorite, Teamboat Springs that you can ride with your whole family!  If you want to make the most of your day, I definitely recommend arriving early to grab a great spot to relax between rides. A locker rental is also a smart idea to keep your essentials safe and dry while you take on all the water-filled fun. And don’t forget that even though March weather is lovely, the Florida sun can still sneak up on you! Sunscreen and hydration are key.

Hope this helps as you count down to your magical getaway! Wishing you sunshine, warm water, and all the splashtastic fun! And if you need any more planning tips, be sure to stop on by. We’re always hEAR and happy to help!

    See ya real soon,
