Is going to a water park worth the cost with kids ages 9, 6, 4, & 1? Assuming I would be holding the baby next to a kiddie pool while our reticent 4 year-old splashes in the shallows (could do at hotel pool free). Should husband take just the big kids?

    Hi Jennifer!

I'm with you.  I'd wait until the little ones were older to take them to enjoy the water parks to their fullest.  While they do have wonderful 'kiddie' areas, I really think that they'd enjoy the hotel pool just as much (especially depending on what resort you'll be staying at).  Maybe save the money you'd spend on their water park ticket and have a special 'Mommy-n-me' day where you enjoy your resort's pool?  You could even stop by the gift shop and buy a water toy or 2 for them to play with, and spoil them with ice cream!  ( I wanna come too!!)  :)

    Have a magical vacation!
