When going to a water park if you wear glasses for vision can you wear them on the water rides?

    Hi Sandra,

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. A trip to Walt Disney World always includes a day at a water park for my family! Whether at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, we enjoy splashing the day away at these fun-filled water wonderlands!

Both my husband and I wear prescription glasses, and neither of us have never been asked to remove them at a Disney water park. I sometimes have on my regular glasses and sometimes my prescription sunglasses. I have always felt comfortable with them on on all of the attractions, though I do occasionally find myself reaching up instinctively to hold them on at the end of a water ride! I also often find myself holding them on when a big wave comes in the wave pool. My husband will occasionally leave his glasses at our beach chairs or in a locker; however, I prefer to have mine with me. Another option is that some guests like to purchase straps that can hold your glasses onto your head or around your neck for use at the water parks.

The bottom line is as long as you are comfortable with it, it has always been my experience that you can keep on your glasses at the Disney water parks.

Have a wonderful time planning your magical trip, Sandra! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
