Which water park will be open in August 2025? Also how can I research things like cabanas and prices? Thank you :-)

    Hi Lynn!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for swimming by with your vacation planning questions! You’re in for a great time at the Walt Disney World Resort, and what better way to make waves than by visiting one of Disney’s incredible water parks? Plus, did you hear about the amazing perk for Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel in 2025? You’ll receive complimentary water park admission on your check-in day! What an excellent way to start your trip!

Now, let’s dive into your question. If the current rotational schedule continues as it has in recent years, you can expect Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park to be welcoming Guests next August. It’s the perfect place to get swept away in adventure by the giant wave in the Surf Pool!

As for planning, you’ll definitely want to consider booking one of the incredible reserved seating options available at Typhoon Lagoon. A Beachcomber Shack is the ultimate way to kick back and relax, offering comfortable shaded seating, a locker, refillable drink mugs, a cooler stocked with ice and water, and personalized attendant service. These cabanas currently range in price from $225 to $375, depending on the season. If you’re looking for a simpler setup, a Typhoon Lagoon Umbrella includes a beach umbrella, two reserved lounge chairs, two beach chairs, a drink table, and towels, with prices currently advertised between $49 and $99.

Since these are part of the Enchanting Extras Collection, Guests in the U.K. will need to call Tours, Recreation or work with their travel agent to book them before arrival, while Guests in the U.S. can book online or via the My Disney Experience app. Reservations open 60 days before arrival, so set a reminder, you won’t want to miss out on these exclusive options!

Since Typhoon Lagoon will likely be your go-to water park, let me share a few of my favorite must-try treats! Over at Let’s Go Slurpin’, you’ll find some tropical cocktails sure to quench your thirst, including the refreshing Slurpin’ Mojito. If you’re looking for something sweet, stop by Happy Landings Ice Cream and indulge in their famous Sand Pail Sundae—a combination of soft-serve ice cream, waffle cone pieces, cookie crumbles, hot fudge, and more, all served in a sand pail for extra fun!

I hope this helps with your planning, Lynn. Remember to keep swimming back to planDisney for any vacation planning needs. I’d be happy to give you some fin and more information!
