Which water park is better for a 9 year old girl who is a little adventurous and a 5year old boy who isnt adventurous at all?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Shari!

A few summers ago, my family enjoyed having Annual Passes for Disney’s Water Parks and we had such a splash-tastic time exploring and enjoying all the aquatic fun they both offer. My kids have a wide age gap, so we got to experience the fun for the little tykes as well as the big thrills and I can tell you, both parks offer great options for both!

If you ask my oldest, he will tell you Disney’s Blizzard Beach is loaded with those bigger thrills he loves. Just walking in and seeing Summit Plummet reaching high to the sky will satisfy the most adventurous of guests. And while my brave dude was enjoying the thrills, I would be splashing around with my younger tike at Tike's Peak, a dedicated area for guests 48in (122cm) or shorter. Then we would come together to ride the family-friendly raft ride, Teamboat Springs, my personal favorite! Oh, and don’t forget to try the craveable mini-donuts! Those can become a tie-breaker when trying to decide where to play.

During our visits to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, I especially loved riding the Crush 'n' Gusher, where two can ride together. The giggles were a plenty! And with another tiny mouseketeer dedicated area, Ketchakiddee Creek, my youngest didn’t skip a beat. Looking for another family adventure? Look no further than Miss Adventure Falls, another family-friendly raft attraction that you can enjoy together. It’s also the longest ride in the history of the Disney water parks. So hold on tight and enjoy the fun!

No matter which park you choose, your crew will find something they’re gonna love! So, have fun planning your aquatic adventure and don’t forget the sunscreen. For any additional questions, be sure to stop by.

    See ya real soon,
