Which water park is better for toddlers age 4? Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon

    Hi, Brian!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for your question. I think Disney’s Blizzard Beach is the better choice for visiting a water park with toddlers and young children.  It has a play area for Guests who are under 48 inches tall called Tike's Peak that is perfect for kids your little one’s age because it features pint-sized versions of the bigger attractions at Disney’s Blizzard Beach. There you’ll find slower-moving, scaled-down thrills, including miniature snow-banked slides, a mini inner-tube ride and chutes that tunnel through the snow.

The water raft ride Teamboat Springs can accommodate up to four or six riders, so your whole family can ride together. Your little one is also probably tall enough to ride the Chairlift to the top of Mount Gushmore (the minimum height requirement to ride is 32 inches tall). Melt-Away Bay, the wave pool at Disney’s Blizzard Beach, is another good choice because the waves are tamer than those at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon's wave pool, which is much more intense.

Another fun must-do for many families is to stop by the mini doughnuts stand. These sweet treats are freshly-made and sold by the dozen or half-dozen with raspberry, chocolate or white chocolate sauce for dipping! I hope this helps, Brian. Please feel free to write back with any other questions you may have as you continue to plan.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
