Hi, which water park is best for 3-7 year olds? And any other suggestions for the water park? Thanks so much

    Bonnie:

Our family with kids 14, 12, 10, and 5 prefers Blizzard Beach (and as a mom, I do, too!) It's almost as if Disney took the best of Typhoon Lagoon and improved on it for BB!

We usually start our youngster at Tike's Peak before we head over to join the older kids at Ski Patrol Camp. BB's kiddie area provides a more open feel of short slides than Typhoon Lagoon which has foliage that seems to block my vision of my son, and I find myself running after him as he races down slides similar to fake creeks--not my idea of fun in comparison to Blizzard Beach and all it has to offer.

Enjoy the ski lift and family raft ride (BB's is longer than TL's) early in the morning before the lines get longer. And of course, take some time to bob in one of the inner tubes in the wave pool. Again, the wave pool at Blizzard Beach is tamer than Typhoon Lagoon's which can be scary with the powerful water rising several feet too quickly, in my opinion, for my shorter kids.

Blizzard Beach's best feature, though, for a fellow family like us from the South, is its snow theme!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
    Whitney

p.s. Don't take my word for it, though. Check out a recent Mom's View question here that has opinions from some of my fellow panelists on their favorite water park!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
