What water park is the best for a 6 year old thats not very tall?

    Hi Sarah,

I've been taking my kids to the water parks since they could barely walk!  Both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are great options for younger children.  Each has a fabulously-themed "kiddie" area for young children (under 48 inches) with mini slides, splash areas and sprinklers.  At Blizzard Beach, this area is called "Tikes Peak" and is a mini replica of the entire park.  It has wonderful , shaded areas with picnic tables and lounge chairs, and is a great place to "set up camp" for the day.  At Typhoon Lagoon, the kiddie area is "Ketchakiddie Creek".  In my opinion, there are more attractions for little kids at Blizzard Beach, however, both have plenty of options.  If your son is a bit more daring, both parks have great "intermediate" areas with slightly more adventurous slides, raft rides and other attractions.

In addition, both parks have wonderful lazy rivers and giant pools that will likely delight your son. At Blizzard Beach, there is an amazing family raft ride (Teamboat Springs) that your entire family can ride(no swimming required).

Whichever park you chose,  I recommend bringing your own towels for the day, as there is a fee to "rent" the water park towels.

Have a great day splashing around!
