Welcome to
planDisney, Valerie!
Thanks for sending your question to us. I'd love to discuss your Walt Disney World theme park ticket inquiry. Let's dive in!
Your
date-based theme park ticket is subject to a
use period, depending on the days purchased. For example, a standard 5-day theme park ticket expires 8 days after the selected start date. When you add the Park Hopper Plus Option, your use period is extended by one day. So, a 5-day theme park ticket with the Park Hopper Plus Option can be redeemed up to 9 days after its start date. The same rules apply to a ticket with the Water Parks & Sports Option.
I hope that makes sense! Both the
Park Hopper Plus and Water Parks & Sports Options allow you to visit theme parks and water parks anytime during your ticket's use period. You do not have to visit a water park the same day you enter one of the four theme parks, so your proposed itinerary would work. Just make sure you are redeeming all ticket entitlements before your expiration date. In the My Disney Experience mobile app, you should see the valid use period below the barcode of your tickets.
Best wishes for a magical vacation, Valerie! I'm thrilled you plan to experience the
water parks during your stay. My family loves to make a splash at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. Currently, swimmers, surfers, and sliders can enjoy the tropical shores of Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Stay tuned to the
Walt Disney World website and
Disney Parks Blog for information about Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park operations.
