I am watching for discounts for October 2013 to be announced. I check the special offers link on the Disney website daily. Do you know from past history, when they typically release any discounts for this time of year? Thank you :)

Hi Tonya!  Your question is a good one, and boy, do I wish I had a crystal ball to be able to tell when Disney will release discounts!  Generally, discounts are released for time periods in which bookings are lower.  Since October is a very popular time at Walt Disney World, mainly due to the increasing popularity of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey's Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party, the chances of a discount being released during that time are not great.  Typically, fall discounts are released in the spring, and this past spring they released a free dining offer for most dates in September, 2013, but it did not extend into October.

Your vigilance in checking the Disney website is a good strategy, but you might also want to check for a more complete list of possible discounts and specials at Walt Disney World. These could include AAA room-only discounts or Annual Passholder discounts - one of these might qualify you to save some money for your October Walt Disney World vacation.

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question Tonya, and I wish you loads of pixie-dust that a discount will be available for your time period.  Have a magical day!
