Ahoy there Heather, and welcome aboard planDisney! It's always great to see a fellow Missourian around these parts! We may be landlocked, but as we learned in "Finding Nemo," all drains - and most of my vacations - lead to the ocean! I'm so glad you're planning on trading the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers for the Big Blue this Summer - it'll be here before you know it!
I was never into watching vloggers and their videos about cruising - then the last two years happened and what can I say, it was a way to live vicariously through people who were able to cruise right when
Disney Cruise Line returned to sailing! Between these vlogs and all the amazing installments of "Designing the
Disney Wish," my video queue has been PACKED with cruise videos from all over the world!
Speaking of packed, I have good news: according to the latest
Know Before You Go: Embarkation Day information, this luggage drop isn't just reserved for Concierge Stateroom Guests! For Embarkation COVID-19 Testing, when arriving at the terminal, you will be asked to check in your luggage with a porter and head to the COVID-19 PCR testing location!
Now, if you'd like to, there's nothing stopping you from playing make-believe that this service is reserved only for you and your crew, either! Haha! Like everything Disney Cruise Line does, you'll feel the luxury of your vacation from every interaction, and this one is no different! It just happens to be part of the enhanced health and safety protocols ensuring you and your crew have the Disney Cruise Line vacation you've dreamed of!
Be sure to keep an eye on that Know Before You Go info page, though, as policies and procedures are subject to change, and you'll want to be aware of any changes as your sail date gets closer!
Thank you so much for sailing my way with your question, Heather! I can't wait for you and your crew to embark on your adventure in just a few short months! If any other questions bubble to the surface while you are finalizing plans, be sure to come back here to planDisney and drop me a line!
Oh, and when you see Captain Minnie, tell her ALL of us in the Show Me State say "Hi!"
SEA ya real soon!
