Hi, Cynthia! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Although there is something I love about every
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, if I had to choose a favorite, I think I would have to go with
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I'm a huge fan of the laid-back, tropical vibe of this resort hotel, as well as the amazing
restaurant and lounge options that can be found there. Another great feature of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is its beautiful beaches where you can experience spectacular views of the
Happily Ever After Fireworks. Cynthia, I have good news for you, any guest may visit the beaches at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to take in the fireworks, even if they are not staying at this resort hotel.
Even if you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you are welcome to visit any of the public areas of the resort. The exception to this is the swimming pool. Access to the swimming pools at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels is limited to guests staying at that particular property. "Resort hopping" is one of my favorite things to do on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I love taking in the beautiful theming and visiting the amazing restaurants at the various resort hotels.
Since you are planning to visit Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, I would recommend
making a dinner reservation at
'Ohana or
Kona Cafe. For drinks served with some fun and entertaining surprises, stop by
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. Did you know that Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of the few places where you can find the famous Dole Whip? Be sure to visit
Pineapple Lanai for this tasty treat. When you make your way to the beach to watch the fireworks, you may also catch a glimpse of the
Electrical Water Pageant as it sails across Seven Seas Lagoon.
I hope you enjoy your visit to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, as well as the rest of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Samantha
