Can you watch the Illuminations show if eating inside Tokyo Dining? Or will too many people be blocking your view? Or is it better to eat first then stand outside? I thought I read ther is a second floor deck?

Greetings Erika and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, we're so glad you are here.

Epcot Theme Park, Walt Disney World Resort encompasses two distinct realms one of which called "World Showcase" includes the Japan Pavilion, one of eleven countries featuring authentic cuisine and culture.

Viewing Illuminations: Reflections of Earth is a unique and memorable experience from any pavilion and you'll be delighted to learn that viewing these stunning fireworks celebrating the spirit of humanity were featured as a spectacular viewing experience from the Japan Pavilion in a post by our official Disney Parks Blog.

Dining at Tokyo Dining, Japan Pavilion, will afford you views of World Showcase Lagoon and Illuminations: Reflections of Earth, but please keep in mind that there may be slight obstructions from the trees and other Guests who may be standing on the outside balcony.

Viewing from the outside balcony, above "Mitsukoshi Department Store" affords unique views and if this interests you may I suggest you arrive approximately 1-hour before the start of the fireworks show as it is a popular viewing area for many Guests.

Upon arrival at Tokyo Dining, may I suggest requesting a window table as the seats were cushioned at the time I was last there recently (subject to change).
Secure Disney Dining, FastPass+ and personalize MagicBands via My Disney Experience.

    Magical wishes to you Erika.
