If we watch the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom at 8 pm, can we get to Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort in time for an 8:50 pm reservation? If not, would you recommend Narcoosees as a good spot to see the fireworks? The California Grill is booked.

    Hi Beth!

Yes, you can watch Wishes at 8:00 pm and get to your Advanced Dining Reservation at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort by 8:50 pm!  Wishes is approximately 12 minutes long.  You have three options to get to the Contemporary Resort from the Magic Kingdom. The quickest way is to actually to walk to the Contemporary Resort (a 5 to 10 minute walk depending on how fast you walk). There is a nice sidewalk to walk on to the left as you exit the Magic Kingdom).  You can take the Resort  Monorail (the Contemporary is the first stop) but sometimes after Wishes the line for the Monorail can be quite long.  Also, you can take a boat to get to the Contemporary Resort but this is the slowest way. A great tip is to watch Wishes from the beginning of Main Street USA by the Flagpole.  When Wishes is done you can beat the crowds and head out of the Magic Kingdom because you are near the exits.  Narcoosees is a good place to watch Wishes, but keep in mind that the fireworks are to the left of Cinderella Castle from that vantage point.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is filled with magic and memories!
