Hi Christopher,
Welcome back to planDisney and thank you for asking us another great question, my fellow Canadian!
My kiddo has always loved ending his Disney Day with fireworks, even when he was a toddler. I always thought the noise would bug him, but nope! The very first show he ever saw was at EPCOT, so that Park’s fireworks will always hold a special place in my heart.
I’m happy to say that, through the years, I’ve watched the show from every country around World Showcase. I can safely say that there really isn’t a spot with a bad view, provided you’re close to the water and there are no trees overhead to block your view of the night sky. My favourite “last minute” spot is right around Germany. I find that there are way fewer people there than at the front of the lagoon, facing The American Adventure. Plus, you’re only a stone’s throw from
Karamell-Küche, which is probably my favourite spot for treats in EPCOT! If
Epcot Forever is the same as it was a few months ago, then there’s really no need to stake out a spot for a prime spot at the front of the park to watch the show.
That said, I’ve absolutely loved my experience at the
Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package, if only because I got to enjoy a delicious meal, with a seated view of the show… and a pint of something refreshing! I don’t believe
La Hacienda de San Angel has a Fireworks Dining Experience for the moment, so I don’t think that you need to make a dining reservation there to see the show (it can be hard to see some of the fireworks indoors) unless you’re really craving Mexican food. Don’t get me wrong: the food there is absolutely delicious, but it isn’t my family’s favourite spot for fireworks viewing.
I hope my answer helps you consider your options for your family’s next visit to
EPCOT. If I’ve misunderstood your question or if you need any additional information to plan your family’s holidays, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
