I wasn't sure whether or not I should request a DAS pass. I have ADHD, OCD, and social anxiety. I have extreme sensory issues that cause panic attacks and can cause me to become aggravated when I'm in crowded spaces for extended periods of time.

    Hiya, Tayler!

One of my favorite things about the Disneyland Resort is how everyone is welcome to join in the fun at The Happiest Place on Earth! Of course, that includes Guests with disabilities.

Among the services to help Guests with disabilities is the Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS is for Guests that may have difficulty remaining in a typical attraction line due to a disability. DAS allows a Guest and their immediate party to schedule return times for attractions with less time waiting in the attraction queues. No documentation is requested, but a short registration procedure is required for this service. Guests may even register before arriving at the Disneyland Resort via a live chat called DAS Advance that can be held between 2 and 30 days before visiting the parks. Be sure to make theme park reservations before requesting a chat. To register while at the theme parks, simply speak with a Cast Member at one of the several Guest Relations locations.

During the DAS registration process, a Cast Member will ask a series of questions to assess the needs of the Guest requesting services. In some cases, the Cast Member may point to accommodations other than DAS that may permit the Guest and their party to continue to enjoy the theme parks as much as possible. If DAS is deemed appropriate accommodation for the Guest, a member of the party with access to the theme park admission for the entire party will be granted a DAS entitlement for their account in the Disneyland mobile app. DAS return times may be scheduled within the app. Cast Members at the Guest Relations locations can also help with scheduling attraction return times.

From my own experience with scheduling DAS, I know how helpful and supportive the Cast Members are. During a recent registration interview, Taylor, the Cast Member who conducted the interview, was very kind and understanding throughout the whole process. The magic of a visit to the Disneyland Resort is made even greater through the experience.

Tony’s Tip: If you plan on registering through DAS Advance, I recommend entering the system early in the morning and blocking off as much time as possible for the process. Because each Guest is given wonderful, personal attention, wait times for a registration interview can be long. You will need a computer or device with a camera to conduct the interview. I also recommend having an extra battery or charging cable handy to make sure the device is active and ready for when a Cast Member becomes available.

I am wishing you a marvelous and magical time during your visit to the Disneyland Resort. “Adventure is out there!” You’ve got this, Tayler!
